Duel of the UndeadDuel of the UndeadDuel of the Undead by ToxicCrucifix
A poetic interpretation of the final confrontation of Ancient Blood and Nicholae, in the story “Memoirs of the Rose”, by SpectralPony.
An event of a gala in a land of the night
The dance of two beings, interrupted by sudden fright
Of a brother seeking vengeance, his presence despised
With a deep blackness, he took them both by surprise.
But that brother’s vengeance would not easily be attained,
For his brother, the protector, stood in his way.
He vowed the Rose’s blood shall not be spilled twice
But the one seeking vengeance vowed otherwise.
In result of this impasse, this conflict of interest
A battle began, against which few fights could test.
In a bright display of lethal light bursts
The duel waged on, on the dark moonlit turf.
The Rose stood by, nearly astonished by the beams
Stuck in indecision of whether to intervene.
She wisely decided to stay at a distance
For fear of her protector failing this deadly dance.

I could even argue that their existence helped to create some of the issues that closed species communities face now, such as an extreme focus on traits and selling value as opposed to lore and species interactivity.
In today's species community and ma
